Writing Your State Legislators

It needs to be done to allow of back pedal of firearms regulation in the United States. If states can legalize Marijuana which is a class 1 controlled substance, then we do need a deregulation of the firearms industry. I have written mine calling for Self-Determination clauses of states allowing them to regulate their own firearms industries, and abolishing the ATF once and for all, or at least a further restriction of their intents to harass gun owners in general.

The 1986 Hughes Amendment

In 1986 William J. Hughes of New Jersey introduced the Hughes Amendment to the 1986 Firearms Owner Protection Act as a hope to kill the bill that protected gun owners and FFL's from harassment from the BATFE. There is much question to the actual passage of it. If one watches the video of the voice vote, it is clear that Charlie Rangel fudged the vote, and even after the electronic vote was passed, it was STILL clear that the amendment passed, and is somehow still a law that is followed even today. I'll let you be the judge. Video is at the bottom.

L.A. gun buy back buys 15-30k STG-44 WWII Bringback for 200$

Original story here: It's quite sad really. was talking about this in one of their threads. It is sad that LAPD bought back a bunch of firearms "no questions asked". What's even worse that a piece of history will forever be lost to the civilian populace. Legal or not, I can't imagine whoever turned it in knew what they had. It's still upsetting to think about. The most that LAPD would pay for a single firearm was a 200$ gift card. We're getting to the point in the country where a state will become a police state. That is very depressing to think about. I may only be 22, but there are many Americans in our country who really don't realize that we are one of the last free nations in the world, and we want to turn in and destroy our civil rights and freedoms. It has become a tipping point in this country, and we are probably at about a 50/50 split within this country. There's really few firearms friendly states left. The federal government is consolidating its power into one branch and throwing states' rights by the wayside. A Defensive Carry user had a great quote as his signature, "Guns are like sex and air, not really a big deal until you can't get any". Makes sense, right? As with the STG-44 that is really a shame to even think about, thinking that a piece of history has forever been lost.

One Year Anniversary of Sandy Hook Shooting

One year ago, Adam Lanza killed his mother and took a Bushmaster XM-15 rifle to Sandy Hook and murdered 26 people including his own mother. I for one cannot even imagine what it may feel like to lose a child in that way. In fact I don't want to even try to level, because I don't know what that feels like. Christmas will never be the same for those families. The sad thing is though, is that many anti-gun politicians are attempting to use this as leverage for more stringent gun-legislation in Congress that will limit only law abiding gun owners. The President issued this video today: I will not doubt that the POTUS or the anti-gun caucus feels for these families, but I have no doubt that the pro-gun legislators feel the same way. That I think everyone can agree on. Maybe some really do legitimately believe that tougher gun control may work, but no matter what facts are presented or what logic is used, many politicians are using this as a platform to capitalize their agendas and progress their careers. "Never forget to take advantage of a good crisis". I do believe there is a problem with violence in this country. With so much freedom to take your life in any direction can sometimes be harmful. You can choose to be an acolholic, you can choose to not be a good father to your children, and you can choose to become a murderer. I am in no way saying we should take away our freedoms for the cost of safety. That is the price of freedom. Americans have fought for it, bled for it, and died for it. I hope the families of Newtown Connecticut find peace one day, and I know they are angry. Great sorrow can sometimes turn into anger, especially with the un-natural loss of a child. They have every right to be angry. What sickens me is that politicians use these tragedies to further a political campaign when these families should have their privacy respected, and not used as a prop in the fight to strengthen gun control. Political parties aside, I pray that the Newtown families are one day able to recover from their grief, but there will always be a child-sized hole in their life, and there's nothing that can bring their children back. God has a plan, we are not always sure what or why He does things in His plan, but it is His plan. We don't have to always like His plan, but either way it His plan. Moses and the Jews in Exodus certainly disagreed with God's plans numerous times. He punished them, especially Moses, but in the end he delivered His chosen people to the promised land of Israel. God Bless. -Andy

Nevada Nullification Petition

Here is a draft of a Nevada state nullification petition that I have drafted up to pass around to all your local gun stores to sign and send to your state legislature. Please reference the Nevada state legislature website to locate your assemblyman or senator to send the petitions to. Hopefully we will be able to get a bill into the legislature.

Cheers
